Saw Furious 7 and thought it was great... especially the ending. Perfect way to pay tribute to Paul Walker and to send off Paul's character.
It ends with this quote from Vin Diesel's character.
"I used to say I live my life a quarter mile at a time and I think that's why we were brothers- because you did, too. No matter where you are, whether it's a quarter mile away or half way across the world. The most important thing in life, will always be the people in this room. Salute mi familia. You'll always be with me... And you'll always be my brother"

Here's another study. This one is of Singer/Songwriter Kina Grannis! I started off in black and white just like the previous post. Then i went in and added color and played with different brushes to get more of a painterly look with all the textures.

I was inspired by Tom Bancroft's drawing of Princess Leia and the phrase "Suns Out, Buns Out" a while back. I thought it was a clever play on words and wanted to do my own version. Finally had the time to do it...here's my take on it. I like how it kind of has a postcard look to it. Gotta love happy accidents!

I don't really follow soccer that much but when it comes to the World Cup I'll definitely tune in. I didn't catch much of the US games this time around but the tournament was still pretty exciting. This is pretty early but can't wait to see what the US women's team can do in 2016!

I tried this style out before but it didn't turn out as good as I wanted it to. A fellow alumnus has been doing this paper cutout style lately with his Disney Villains series and is just killing it. It made me want to revisit this technique so I did it with the next sketch I did. So here it is! I'm happy that it turned out better than my previous attempt.
