Portrait Study: KG

Here's another study. This one is of Singer/Songwriter Kina Grannis! I started off in black and white just like the previous post. Then i went in and added color and played with different brushes to get more of a painterly look with all the textures.

I'm not that great at capturing likeness so this is more of a painting study for me. Kudos if you can figure out who she is though!

Suns Out, Buns Out!

I was inspired by Tom Bancroft's drawing of Princess Leia and the phrase "Suns Out, Buns Out" a while back. I thought it was a clever play on words and wanted to do my own version. Finally had the time to do it...here's my take on it. I like how it kind of has a postcard look to it. Gotta love happy accidents!

A tribute to one of the funniest actors out there. Such an entertainer! Thanks for all the laughs, Robin Williams. You'll be missed!
